As of December 2025, a total of 165 Self‑Help Groups of people living with HIV and key populations are affiliated with MPG, representing more than ten thousand core members across all states and regions of Myanmar.
MPG maintains strong partnerships with seven local PLHIV and key population community networks in Myanmar through its membership in the Community Network Consortium on HIV (CNC). These networks include the Myanmar MSM and Transgender Women Network (MMTN), Myanmar Youth Stars (MYS), Myanmar Positive Women Network (MPWN), PPSSM (Puu Paung Swan Saung Myanmar – HIV/AIDS), Sex Workers in Myanmar Network (SWiM), National Drug User Network–Myanmar (NDNM), and the National NGOs Network (Health) – 3N. Through this consortium, MPG works collaboratively on community system strengthening, with a particular focus on community advocacy, representation, community‑led monitoring, and community‑led service delivery.
MPG also works in strong partnership with many local community‑based organizations led by people living with HIV and key populations, contributing collaboratively to the national HIV response in Myanmar. Current community‑based organization partners include Lotus and KNP+, which work closely with MPG to support community‑led HIV prevention, care, and support interventions
MPG maintains long‑term and strong partnerships with the Asia‑Pacific Network of People Living with HIV (APN+) and other regional networks of people living with HIV and key populations. Through these partnerships, MPG collaborates on regional coordination and advocacy, addressing shared priorities, cross‑border challenges, and issues related to access to HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support services.
Since its foundation, MPG has received continuous technical assistance from a range of international and technical agencies, including UNAIDS, ICAP, CPI, FHI360 ,UNOPS, WHO, GNP+, and other international partners. This support has strengthened MPG’s programmatic and operational capacity to effectively engage communities, efficiently implement services, and monitor program performance.
Through this technical assistance, MPG staff and resources have been equipped with essential capacity‑building support in program management and organizational development, including the adoption of standardized tools and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance the quality, accountability, and sustainability of community‑led programs.
